The City of Johannesburg’s Library Information Services announced the winners of the African Storybook (ASb) story creation competition. The winners announced are Thenjiwe Lebesa as the winner, Mayenzeke Ngcobo runner up and Kaydin Vanere as the second runner up. The three were selected 20 finalists out of a total of more than 52 entries received from all the seven regions of the city. 
The three winning stories demonstrated creativity, proper use of illustrations, and excellence in storytelling, for children, by children. The stories will soon be published on the ASb platform.
